The Minimalist Home Designs

I was talking to a friend last time when suddenly I got the idea of asking her about new topics for my blog. And then we came out into topics like the Japanese style living room... Natural style designer furniture, warmth atmosphere, this time we’ll try to dig down some enigma of the minimalistic concept based on the conventional attributes of modern Japanese design ideas.

Japanese interior style has long been acclaimed for its elegant minimalism. You could probably observed the typically sleek and modern style, and yet, still retaining an ancient feeling of mystery in a traditional Japanese architecture. A few decor pieces and design techniques can turn any living room into a Japanese-style haven.

Though we may find it a bit hard to replicate the discrete look in your own home, creating a Japanese atmosphere can be achieved quite easily. On the other hand, accessories with Japanese flair are not hard to find. It is best known and popular among the style.

Shoji, a door made of wood and paper immediately will add an oriental look to your living room. It may be a little costly, so consider using shoji screen, or blinds made from wood or paper as an affordable alternative. Shoji is a significant element in a Japanese interior and installing the same can quite make a difference.

You may cover the floor with sectioned mats called tatami on which people could sit comfortably. A tatami or sisal rug is ideal for the earth tone color scheme. While a black and white rug with an Oriental motif would work best for the bold color scheme.

Less is more in a Japanese-style living room. Select pieces that provide enough seating without cluttering up when adding furnitures into the room. Place a low table with floor cushions at the center of the rug. Couches and chairs should then be placed along the walls of the room to improve the overall flow and balance.

Bring in decor objects and lightings. Placed a small bonsai  tree at the center of the table in the middle of the room. You may try to consider replacing your lighting fixtures. Take out your ordinary lamp shades and replace them with something more Japanese-like made of wood, clay or washi papers. For the walls, you can add a small calligraphy print, another feature that we could find in modern Japanese living rooms.

The essence of Japanese interior is its finesse and elegance. Arranging a living room like Japanese is to keep it less clatter, in other words, "simplicity is the key". The finished result should be almost bare to highlight the designer furniture pieces and artwork.

Popularly known as the largest bedroom in every home, the master bedroom is normally occupied by owners of the space regardless of whether or not the same is the largest room in the house. The size of master bedroom vary from one home to another.

Most contemporary interior designers are focusing on the idea of transforming a master bedroom into a quiet escape. It is quite a good idea to come out into a space that would create a master retreat where couples can withdraw from the hustle and bustle of life. In other words, the main goal is to create a peaceful and more serene environment.  For after a long, stressful day, the desire to relax in the soft comfort of a tranquil bedroom appeals to many couples.

It is important that you consolidate key elements like furniture, color scheme and lighting to create a coherent, functional, yet personal space. Master suites aren’t just places to sleep anymore. Creating spaces for work, reading, or relaxing in the master retreat is quite gaining popularity as one of hottest design ideas. Most couples prefer matched designer furniture, but today, they are looking for a more exemplified and diversified look by mismatching pieces. This way allows you to cater each piece to your lifestyle. When mixing furniture, try choosing pieces that have common elements like type of wood, finish or accents.

Make sure to include a pair of chairs, a chaise lounge or a small sofa to your master bedroom, along with a coffee table and a reading lamp. This way you create this feeling of sanctuary. Writing desks also allow the partners or couples to get some work done, too.

You may want to add soft, warm lighting to help encourage a relaxing ambiance to the room. Moreover, besides having an overhead lights, a task lighting is also important for bedside tables (so one partner can read, while the other sleeps), walk-in closets, and other traditionally inadequately lit spaces. If creating a romantic night is top on the list, well then, consider controlling your lighting with a dimmer switch.

An upholstered headboard trend is somewhat a good design to include. Many styles are custom-designed with luxurious fabrics and sometimes cost less than wood or metal alternatives. You should choose neutral colors that blends well with wood furnitures. Popular samples are chocolate brown, soft gray or cream. They are favorite choices among designers.

It is not too much to take some time and do some search for different style that inspire you, and try to incorporate the best ideas into your own master suites. Just remember — it's your personal room, so you don't have to please anybody but your own self. Try creating your own version of designer furniture concept.
